Job Summary:

The PIG in the Cotswolds is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef De Cuisine to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the overall management of our kitchen operations, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide guidance and support to our kitchen team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring that they are innovative, seasonal, and aligned with our brand's culinary vision.
  • Food Cost Management: Work closely with our purchasing team to negotiate the best possible prices for ingredients, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Team Development: Identify and develop the skills of our kitchen team members, providing training and coaching to help them reach their full potential.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed, maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our team.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Executive Chef De Cuisine in a similar establishment.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations, as well as a strong understanding of kitchen operations and menu development.
