About this Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team at Volvo Car UK. As a skilled technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles of all makes and models, as well as carrying out PDI/preparation of new/used vehicles to manufacturers' standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and repair vehicles of all makes and models
  • Carry out PDI/preparation of new/used vehicles to manufacturers' standards
  • Diagnose faults and carry out testing of vehicles
  • Carry out all work effectively and within the manufacturer repair times
  • Accurately record all details on the relevant job card(s)
  • Ensure all work is carried out to high/manufacturers' standards
  • Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction at all times
  • Maintain and update your individual experience, skills and knowledge through training programmes
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety standards and requirements
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels in a polite, professional and efficient manner

Requirements

  • A qualified Vehicle Technician with an industry recognised qualification, ideally level 3 but level 2 will be considered (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • A team-player who is comfortable operating with set processes and procedures
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Motivated, dedicated and organised with a focus on Health & Safety in the workplace
  • MOT License would be desirable, but not essential as full training will be offered

Working Hours

8.30-5pm Monday-Friday, plus Saturday on a rota 8.30-12.30pm.

Salary

(depending on level of experience) + overtime available
