About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our team at MTrec Commercial. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing our bid team to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial tendering process, ensuring timely visibility of all opportunities and leading on, writing, and project managing bids and proposals from beginning to end.
  • Identify, bid for, and maintain position on appropriate sector frameworks.
  • Manage and contribute to the bid/no bid process and decision-making.
  • Oversee the bid team during the bid process, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Develop a successful strategy for winning bids, including pinpointing unique selling points, understanding customer requirements, and coaching on presentations.
  • Collate bid feedback and ensure the quality of all aspects of the bid, including written documentation and presentation material.
  • Coordinate all parties involved in the bid process, ensuring everyone is aware of their contribution and deadlines.
  • Research, write, and prepare pre-qualification and tender documents for timely delivery.
  • Ensure bids are submitted on time, complete, and accurate, reflecting the company's services and abilities.
  • Write high-quality text, ensuring consistency of responses in terms of quality, key phrases, and key words.
  • Liaise with other parts of the business to ensure all information submitted is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Work with the Marketing Department to source and coordinate design input for engaging visual standards.
  • Complete supplier forms and attend departmental BDM meetings to support implementation plans.
  • Assist with reviewing contract performance by collating data and customer feedback.
  • Prepare and maintain high-quality responses for future reference.
  • Keep the team informed of tender actions and milestones.

About You

  • Essential experience in bid coordination and tendering.
  • Degree-educated preferred but not essential.
  • Proven experience in bid writing.
  • Working knowledge of commercial awareness and customer relationship skills.
  • High levels of attention to detail, ability to prioritize workload, and meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative, motivation, and influence others.
  • UK driving license.
