Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the estimating department.

REPORTING TO: Senior Estimator

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Established experience within the construction sector
  • Proficient in estimating for construction and renovation projects
  • Knowledge of JCT / NEC contracts
  • Awareness of Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations
  • Strong analytical abilities with a focus on numerical data and effective communication
  • Competent in MS Office Suite and Project Management software
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Commercially aware with the capability to develop sales strategies
  • Collaborative team member with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Possession of a valid UK Driver's License

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (preferred) or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related field, with a minimum of 3 years in construction estimating for renovations

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of pre-tender and bid submissions
  • Creation of financial and commercial presentations
  • Development of Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and Bills of Materials (BoMs)
  • Thorough analysis and organization of estimates and proposals
  • Negotiation of contract terms and conditions
  • Conducting departmental reporting and analysis
  • Compiling Health and Safety documentation
  • Building and nurturing client and partner relationships
  • Effectively developing new client connections
  • Contributing to the company's sales and marketing initiatives

This position is full-time and permanent.
