Role Overview

The Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in the quality assurance process by conducting tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. This position is integral to ensuring that all products meet the stringent standards required for safety and efficacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine physical and chemical analyses under moderate supervision, ensuring accurate recording and review of results.
  • Efficiently manage daily testing workloads to meet established deadlines.
  • Utilize validated methodologies and approved laboratory techniques while performing necessary calculations.
  • Maintain detailed and legible laboratory notebooks to document all procedures and findings.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols and emergency procedures at all times.
  • Implement Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) consistently throughout all testing processes.
  • Oversee the calibration program within the laboratory to ensure equipment accuracy.
  • Collaborate with laboratory supervisors to address any issues that arise during testing.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all analytical procedures related to third-party product testing.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device setting.
  • Strong understanding of GXP compliance standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and QSR part 820.
  • In-depth knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and cross-functional environment, fostering cooperative relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to adapting to a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Educational Background

  • A scientific degree with relevant experience in GLP.
