Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse Educator to join our team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Education Team, you will be responsible for educating and developing a team of staff, promoting patient safety, and ensuring excellent care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a professional role model to staff, demonstrating highly skilled practice and interpersonal skills in the planning, delivery, and provision of care for critically ill patients and significant others.
  • Role model and initiate practice development projects, innovation, and ongoing development of the department.
  • Supervise and evaluate the care provided by staff, ensuring adherence to the NMC code of professional conduct for nurses, midwives, and health visitors.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Nurse and Matron to develop and implement educational strategies that align with the Trust's values and objectives.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse with a Critical Care Course and Mentorship or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Recent Critical Care experience (minimum 2 years) with the ability to support less experienced staff.
  • Ability to deliver high specialist care and demonstrate excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Comprehensive IT skills and ability to teach others.
  • Team Player with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
