Vehicle Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Black Fox Solutions. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles, diagnostics, and fault finding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general servicing, fault finding, electrical work, and vehicle rebuilds.
  • Follow manufacturer procedures and safety guidelines for all repairs.
  • Complete repairs within standard times, using the right tools.
  • Help diagnose faults in vehicles.
  • Adhere to warranty procedures during and after repairs.
  • Work with the parts team to ensure correct parts are installed.
  • Test vehicles after repair, if qualified (HGV license holder).
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns when necessary.
  • Report any vehicle defects to the Workshop Supervisor.
  • Accurately complete service sheets and job cards.
  • Follow company time-tracking processes.
  • Keep the workshop, tools, and equipment clean and maintained.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when needed.
  • Help train and support apprentices and trainees when required.
