About the Role

This position can be office-based or fully remote from one of the following countries: Germany, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands, or the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop the Accounts Receivable Function with ± six direct reports.
  • Ensure Excellent Day-to-Day Accounts Receivable Operations, including revenue recognition, payment reconciliation, and cash collection.
  • Be Responsible for Accurate and Timely Monthly and Annual Financial Statements in the area of accounts receivable accounting.
  • Conduct Ad Hoc Analyses and Evaluations for Quality Assurance and Generation of Insights for Management, including Preparation of Relevant, High-Quality Reporting.
  • Implement, Optimize, Automate, and Monitor Accounts Receivable Processes and internal controls.
  • Identify, Lead, and Drive Relevant Strategic Projects and topics.
  • Serve as a Primary Point of Contact for internal stakeholders as well as external stakeholders such as tax consultants and auditors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 Years of Relevant Professional Experience in accounting, preferably in a fast-growing B2B tech, software, or SaaS environment.
  • Strong Technical Foundation in Accounting, ideally in both German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS, and Proven Experience in effectively setting up and managing especially Revenue Recognition and Cash Collection.
  • Experience in Leading and Developing Teams.
  • Excellent Collaboration and Communication Skills for working with external stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated Proficiency in Project Management and Analytics, with a hands-on approach, meticulous attention to detail, and an instinct and ability to approach an issue holistically.
  • Ability to Grasp Both the Finer Details and the Broader Company-Wide Perspective.
  • Skill in Prioritizing Tasks Effectively and Maintaining a Clear Focus.
  • Proactive and Solution-Oriented Mindset, with a passion for building and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Workday Financials is a Plus.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Related Field.
  • Fluent in English and (preferably) German too.
