About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Poole, Dorset. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions for a range of projects across the south of England and London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical design expertise and best practices to design teams, architects, and contractors.
  • Produce technical design information, including drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, local authorities, and other design team members.
  • Manage project finances and undertake project management responsibilities.
  • Assist in bid preparation and fee proposals.
  • Mentor junior staff and develop business with new and existing clients.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer (or Associate/Incorporated Engineer) or a minimum 5 years relevant experience and working towards professional status.
  • Experience in leading and managing small teams, delegating, and supervising work of team members.
  • Experience in liaising with clients, associated professionals, and other disciplines team members.
  • Experience in designing with primary construction materials, including steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber.
  • Competent in using various methods of analysis and media to solve structural engineering problems.
  • Knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and specifications, and applying these to structural design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of the CDM 2015 Regulations.
