Role Overview:
The successful candidate will serve as a primary contact for all private client-related inquiries, predominantly for our Gloucester office, while ensuring exceptional client care standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operations of Private Client files, overseeing all related tasks.
  • Address queries from other offices, with occasional travel required.
  • Handle a broad spectrum of Private Client matters, including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Estates, Tax, and Court of Protection.
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines in a supportive environment.
  • Collaborate positively with support staff.
  • Engage with the Legal Director regarding financial planning and training opportunities.
  • Achieve legitimate billing targets as agreed with the Legal Director.
  • Assist senior team members with complex case files and exhibit flexibility during periods of absence.
  • Adhere to professional standards and best practices to mitigate claims against the firm.
  • Recognize and respond to client needs promptly and efficiently.
  • Follow departmental procedures regarding client indebtedness.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records for clients.
  • Act as a positive representative of Davies and Partners Solicitors.
  • Contribute to the business development of the department.
  • Participate in relevant professional development activities regularly.
Compliance Requirements:
  • All references will be verified.
  • All gaps in CVs must be explained satisfactorily.
  • Proof of identity and qualifications will be required.
  • Reference requests will inquire about any previous proceedings or complaints.
  • Suitability checks may be conducted prior to appointment confirmation.

Candidate Profile:
Legal Status:
  • DBS disclosure will be required prior to appointment.
  • Right to live and work in the UK is necessary.
Education/Qualifications:
  • Registered Solicitor compliant with SRA standards or FCILEX.
  • Minimum of 2 years PQE.
  • STEP qualification is preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
  • Experience as a Private Client Solicitor in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Willingness to engage in business development activities, including writing articles and attending networking events.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
