About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Product Design Engineer to join our team at Premier Group Recruitment. As a Graduate Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products, working closely with our manufacturing team to bring concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new products using 2D and 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Conduct testing and prototype development to validate product designs.
  • Prepare technical documentation, project reports, and plans to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Update 3D models and drawings to reflect design changes.
  • Input parts into the MRP system, creating BOMs to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Verify drawings for sign off to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with a small multi-disciplinary team on various projects, contributing to the development of innovative products.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering processes and materials.
  • Previous work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Proficient in using 2D and 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite.
  • Hands-on technical experience through your course.
  • Able to work to specific requirements and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
