Independent Credit Analysis Consultant

Core Responsibilities:
Analyzing financial documents (Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements) and legal agreements (bond indentures, covenants, bank loan agreements, and collateral documentation). Creating comprehensive credit research reports on companies facing stress, distress, or restructuring, including the identification of key risks and mitigants, sector-specific risks, macroeconomic influences, and peer comparisons.Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit analysis or equity analysis roles. Strong proficiency in interpreting financial statements: income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, along with a commitment to thoroughly examine the underlying information. A natural curiosity and determination to analyze complex scenarios and a relentless pursuit of information. In-depth knowledge of debt and equity securities and the respective markets. Experience in valuation methodologies, including waterfall and DCF analysis. Exceptional writing capabilities, with the ability to construct a coherent thesis and reach conclusions in a structured format. Familiarity with bankruptcy processes is advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating teamwork and cooperation. Competence in managing tasks under tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Spanish, French, or German.
