Key Responsibilities:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your primary role will be to assist students in their learning and overall well-being, ensuring that every child can reach their full potential in a safe and supportive environment.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing support for students with care needs and implementing positive behavior management strategies.
- Building warm, caring relationships with students to help them feel secure and engaged in their learning.
- Encouraging independence and personal growth while maintaining high standards of behavior.
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering high-quality, differentiated educational activities across a broad curriculum.
- Being adaptable and ready to assist in various capacities as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Experience working with individuals with special educational needs in a professional or voluntary capacity.
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable.
- GCSE qualifications in Maths and English at Level 3 or above.
- A recognized qualification at Level 2 or higher in Support Work for Teaching and Learning in Schools or an equivalent.
- An understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
- The ability to adapt to individual student needs.
- A commitment to prioritizing the needs of each child and treating them as unique individuals.
- A positive and creative approach to meeting the diverse needs of students.
