Music Educator

Job Summary

The Music Educator will be responsible for teaching assigned classes, developing the school curriculum, assessing and recording pupil work, and preparing pupils for examinations. The successful candidate will also provide advice and guidance to pupils, promote their health and welfare, and work in partnership with parents and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes and prepare associated materials
• Develop and implement the school curriculum
• Assess and record pupil work
• Prepare pupils for examinations and assist with administration
• Provide advice and guidance to pupils
• Promote the health, welfare, and safety of pupils
• Work in partnership with parents and other professionals
• Participate in school planning and individual review
• Contribute to good order and the wider needs of the school

Requirements

• Provisional registration or ability to take up unpromoted permanent positions on a temporary basis
• Ability to work in a job-share or part-time capacity if appropriate
