Job Title: Associate Façade Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Associate Façade Engineer to join our team at Hydrock, now Stantec. As a key member of our Façade Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality façade engineering solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and engineering of building façades, considering structural integrity, energy efficiency, material selection, and architectural aesthetics.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate façade design seamlessly into overall building design and construction.
  • Grow and manage a team of façade engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure project success and professional development.
  • Oversee the entire façade engineering process, from concept development to construction documentation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Research and recommend innovative façade materials and systems that enhance building performance, sustainability, and aesthetics.
  • Establish and implement quality control processes to ensure that façades meet industry standards, regulations, and client expectations.
Requirements:
  • A proven track record in work-winning and business development.
  • Experience of delivery in a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment working with challenging clients on world-class projects.
  • The ability to build a strong team to support you in the delivery of façade engineering projects.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
  • A strong knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and regulations related to building façades both domestically and internationally.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
