Job Title: Site Mechanical Project Engineer Nuclear Hydrogen CCUS Water

At KinTec Recruitment Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Site Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in Leeds / Sheffield / Woking. This is a very competitive plus benefits opportunity in the Nuclear Hydrogen CCUS or biomass Biogas Low carbon sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilise project management work process (EPM) in the execution and delivery of projects safely, on budget and on time.
  • Be commercially astute in ensuring that project design/costs developed are competitive & fit for purpose to support the business to deliver the required returns/win new 3rd party sales while balancing SHEQ requirements.
  • Identify and control project risk including through ensuring that the appropriate project execution strategies are implemented. This includes variation management to increase sales and limiting/controlling supplier/contractor variations.
  • Plan, manage and co-ordinate engineering resource (internal & external) to execute projects.
  • Develop Project Proposals to seek financial approval for project budgets.
  • Develop an efficient network/capability for utilising contractors/contracting arrangements for sub-contracting work to enable surges in work to be effectively bid/executed.
  • Be flexible, collaborative and open to sharing and implementing best practices.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships between the Projects function and other functions in our Engineering Department including Linde Engineering.
  • Manage a safe system of work, meeting The Linde Group policy, standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that employees/contractors demonstrate ownership and understanding of SHEQ strategy and objectives and that the teams comply with statutory requirements, company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure good engagement & communication with the customer (internal or external) throughout the project lifecycle.
