About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Millbank Holdings Ltd as an Assistant Radiological Protection Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our nuclear decommissioning projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Radiological Protection Engineers in delivering improvements on plant and providing radiological protection advice to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure that radiological safety is integrated into all aspects of project delivery.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to ensure that all projects are delivered in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of operational radiological protection and industry best practice in nuclear decommissioning.
  • Contribute to the development of radiological protection strategies and plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
  • Experience in radiological safety and radiological protection support.
  • Awareness of operational radiological protection and industry best practice in nuclear decommissioning.
  • Good standard of written English with the ability to write clear technical reports.
  • Reasonable level of commercial awareness and the ability to work within budget and program.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership.
  • Experience in project management.
