Job Title: Locum Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care Transport
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care Transport to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our paediatric intensive care transport service.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical care to critically ill children transported by our service
- Lead and manage clinical teams to ensure high-quality patient care and safe transport
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
- MBBS or equivalent qualification
- MRCPCH or FRCA or equivalent qualification
- Full GMC Registration
- On Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining CCT by date of interview
- Completion of all competencies in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine (minimum of 2 years) in a unit approved for training by the RCPCH National GRID training programme with evidence that this has been signed off, including a minimum of six months of anaesthetic training OR equivalence
- OR an existing practicing Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine
Desirable Criteria:
- Higher degree – PhD, MD or equivalent
- Formal teaching qualification
- Management qualification
