Position Summary

Department: Shop Operations

Job Role: Release Inspector

Role Overview:

As a Release Inspector within the aerospace industry, your primary responsibility will be to execute the final assessment of Repair and Overhaul (R&O) equipment, ensuring adherence to established standards. You will be responsible for issuing validated release certificates while meeting customer, contractual, and regulatory obligations. Your role will also encompass conducting layout inspections and providing support across various business functions as required. Furthermore, you will engage in the application of lean methodologies to optimize operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform final inspections of components such as props, blades, and control units in accordance with specifications and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).
  • Compile necessary documentation for product release.
  • Ensure traceability and compliance throughout the inspection process.
  • Assist in engineering and quality investigations as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings, and documentation.
  • Minimum qualification of HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficient in PC operations with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Prior experience in aerospace engineering is preferred.
