Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at GPW Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of plant equipment, machinery, and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance and testing to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Liaise with engineering teams to prioritize machine maintenance and repair
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on pumps, motors, gear-boxes, conveyor systems, belts, and powered drives
  • Work with hydraulics and pneumatics systems, with training provided for the right candidate
  • Utilize MIG and TIG welding skills to repair equipment
  • Perform basic electrical duties, including disconnecting motors and wiring
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Reactive and planned preventative maintenance experience
  • Basic electrical knowledge and ability to work with PLCs, variable speed drives, and AC/DC systems
  • Flexibility to work additional hours and shift cover as required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work at all levels
