About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our care home team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the day-to-day operational management of the home, ensuring effective use of resources to deliver a high-quality service.
  • Supervise and support staff, ensuring they receive regular supervision and adhere to CareTech's policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Service Development Team to select and assess potential new residents, and ensure a smooth transition into the home.
  • Develop and implement dynamic support plans for service users, involving them in the process and taking into account their needs and aspirations.
  • Ensure the home operates in accordance with statutory requirements, using the National Minimum Standards as a benchmark for good practice.
  • Lead on risk analysis and mitigation within the home, ensuring appropriate assessments and plans are in place.
  • Support the health and well-being of service users, and work with Senior Managers on contract monitoring and reporting.
  • Liaise with external agencies and ensure professional communication with staff and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the recruitment and selection of staff, and assist in the formulation of staffing strategies and policies.
  • Monitor budgets and expenditure, and ensure proper record-keeping and administrative systems are in place.
  • Be accountable for the management of the home's petty cash float and service user funds.
  • Participate in the Area's on-call management system and ensure good health and safety practices are maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, stakeholders, and management, and support the Company's disciplinary and grievance processes.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with vulnerable adults and commitment to achieving high standards of safeguarding.
