Position Overview:

Engenda is on the lookout for a Junior CAD Technician / Laser Scanning Specialist to become a part of our dynamic CAD team within our technical engineering office.

The selected individual will receive training and mentorship over time within our CAD and design teams, aimed at producing drawings and designs that align with the specifications of our design engineers.

They will also be trained and eventually tasked with conducting 3D laser scanning at various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate laser scanning equipment on-site.
  • Process and model data post-scanning.
  • Utilize CAD software to create drawings and 3D models as part of the broader team.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to comprehend project requirements and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Valid UK Driving License (Manual)
  • Willingness to occasionally stay overnight as required by surveys
  • Proficient ICT skills, including MS Office; prior CAD experience is advantageous.
  • Previous exposure to engineering, CAD usage, surveying, or laser scanning is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – collaboration with various teams and individuals at different levels is essential.
  • A proactive attitude – we are committed to teaching you everything necessary for this role, but a desire to learn and the ability to advocate for yourself are crucial.
