About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to join our Fostering Team in Middlesbrough, UK. As a Social Worker in this role, you will work closely with foster carers, children, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that children in foster care thrive in safe and supportive environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of potential foster carers and prepare reports for fostering panels.
  • Match children with suitable foster carers and oversee the placement process.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, health professionals, and educators, to ensure the well-being of children in foster care.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and child care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, placements, and ongoing support.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in a social work role, preferably within fostering or children's services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with foster carers, children, and professionals.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and child care.
