About Our Client

PER, a leading private equity recruitment firm, is partnering with a dynamic private equity firm to find a seasoned finance professional to lead their operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and operations, with experience in implementing new systems and processes. The role will involve overseeing all aspects of internal operations, including finance, compliance, HR, and office facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving the automation of operational functions and analysis across the portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the development and implementation of financial planning and analysis processes across the portfolio companies.
  • Oversee the finance and operations team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement new systems and processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including compliance, tax, and fund finance providers.
  • Manage the quarterly portfolio company reporting and valuations process.
  • Ensure that portfolio companies follow best practices for finance, accounting, and governance.
  • Implement portfolio analytics and monitoring across the portfolio.
  • Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and best practice ESG reporting.
  • Manage the IT outsource relationship and ensure all IT is best practice.
  • Manage internal HR processes and systems.
  • Oversee the office infrastructure and ensure it operates to a high standard.

Requirements
  • Qualified accountant with previous experience in leading a finance or investment operations team.
  • Previous experience in implementing new systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with private equity fund structures and service providers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Self-organized and self-motivated with a result-oriented mindset.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office.
