Job Title: Aircraft Compliance Manager

To support the Head of Compliance in ensuring Mortgage Intelligence Holdings (MIH) adheres to regulatory standards set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and delivers good outcomes for customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the Compliance Team, providing guidance and instruction through proactive decision making.
  2. Carry out people management duties for direct reports, including regular 1:1's, appraisals, and team meetings.
  3. Support the provision of relevant training and development for the Compliance Team.
  4. Provide the Head of Compliance with regular support on compliance-related matters and deputise as required.
  5. Identify opportunities to enhance client outcomes within MIH, assisting in the development of the compliance function and control frameworks.
  6. Produce and analyse management information to identify areas of customer and business risk.
  7. Manage and provide advice relating to the remediation of risk events and/or compliance breaches.
  8. Lead on relevant compliance-related 2nd/3rd line audit work and ensure actions are implemented within agreed timescales.
  9. Prepare regular, timely, and relevant reports for the Board and other Committees, including recommendations for addressing weaknesses identified across the business.
  10. Contribute towards MIH's ongoing Consumer Duty obligations, considering these in all actions and decisions.
  11. Work closely with key business areas and stakeholders across the business to implement MIH's agreed approach to compliance-related matters.
  12. Regularly attend and contribute to internal and external meetings on compliance-related matters.
  13. Provide the Head of Compliance with regular updates on key risks and emerging issues from within the Compliance Team.
  14. Maintain a good industry and technical compliance knowledge, assuming responsibility for own personal development.
Key Skills and Experience:
  1. Strong relevant experience of Compliance roles within the financial services industry.
  2. Experience of managing, motivating, and developing teams.
  3. Proactive and willing to take responsibility for improving efficiency and accountability within the team.
  4. Strong understanding of MCOB, ICOBS, DISP, data protection, and money laundering regulations, and associated regulatory expectations.
  5. Ability to make decisions regarding the severity of issues and implement appropriate actions to mitigate them.
  6. Ability to identify root causes and define and shape appropriate improvement plans.
  7. Ability to lead by example in creating an effective working environment.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and insightful reporting to senior management.
