About the Role:

The Shaw Trust, a leading national charity, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Technology Director to spearhead their digital transformation efforts. As the Technology Director, you will lead a team of approximately 35 professionals and manage an annual IT budget of £8 million. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to define, transform, and optimise the organisation's technology landscape, ensuring it delivers maximum value and efficiency for the charity and its beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and Implement a Technology Strategy: Align with organisational objectives and drive digital transformation.
    • Lead IT Planning and Operations: Focus on innovation, resource allocation, and project planning to ensure efficient delivery.
    • Craft a Digital Strategy: Collaborate with senior leaders to support the charity's mission and goals.
    • Integrate Data and Technology Services: Support strategic initiatives and enhance contract performance.
    • Provide Expert Advice: Offer technology-related guidance to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
    • Foster Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with senior managers to understand and meet their technology needs.
    • Oversee Technology Solutions: Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards.
    • Drive Technology Portfolio Delivery: Align with the organisation's business strategies and ensure timely delivery.
    • Manage Third-Party Providers: Develop and maintain relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery.
    • Manage the Technology Budget: Ensure financial efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
    • Degree in a Related Field: Equivalent experience is also acceptable.
    • Extensive Knowledge of ICT Disciplines: Strategy, architecture, and more.
    • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading technology transformations within complex organisations.
    • Strategic Thinking: Excellent project management skills and ability to build relationships.
    • Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex information clearly.
