About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our Commercial, Estimating and Buying team, you will play a crucial role in delivering cost control and financial reporting duties across all aspects of construction work undertaken by the Company.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver cost control and financial reporting duties, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of construction costs.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Land, Development and Construction, to advise on cost implications and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Prepare and analyze construction cost estimates, including quotations and tender information, to ensure accurate and realistic budgets.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of construction costs, including subcontractor payments and variation orders.
- Provide cost advice and guidance to stakeholders, including the Construction Director and other team members.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quantity surveying and cost control, with a strong understanding of construction techniques and mixed-tenure schemes.
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical and logical approach to work.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and other relevant software, including Xpedeon and Viewpoint/4Projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes, with a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
