Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial results for our UK and European businesses, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and driving initiatives for financial efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Leadership: Take ownership of the financial results for CMR Surgical's UK and European businesses, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and driving initiatives for financial efficiency and effectiveness.
- P&L Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of profit & loss (P&L) statements to provide insights into financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage financial plans and budgets for the UK and European businesses, ensuring alignment with company-wide objectives.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the board of directors, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Financial Process Improvement: Identify and implement financial process improvements and system upgrades to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Team Management: Manage, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, including the UK-based accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and expenses teams.
- Tax Planning and Compliance: Oversee direct and indirect tax planning and compliance, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and regulations.
- Audit Assistance: Support year-end audits to ensure a smooth and accurate auditing process.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- ACCA, CPA, or equivalent – mandatory
- Significant experience in a global company, with a mandatory background in the medical or capital equipment sector
