Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will design and develop detailed network infrastructure for converged building networks, both as part of larger projects and as standalone initiatives. This role involves collaborating with third-party stakeholders to define IP and VLAN schedules, ensuring seamless network integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop network infrastructure for converged building networks
  • Coordinate with third-party stakeholders to define IP and VLAN schedules
  • Implement and test approved network configurations on switches before deployment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including main contractors, sub-contractors, design teams, and clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in network technologies

Requirements

  • Proven track record in delivering low-level network designs in the construction industry
  • Experience in coordinating design with wider construction teams
  • Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies
  • Professional network qualification, such as Cisco CCNA or equivalent
  • Ability to engineer solutions within budget and identify potential commercial and technical risks
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to detail and explain design concepts to design and client teams
  • Sound working knowledge of common network manufacturers and protocols
  • Experience in advising third parties on network security and configuration

Working Environment

This role will primarily be based in our Coulsdon office, with occasional travel to project offices in and around London.
