About the Role

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Matron to lead our Breast Screening and Imaging services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and innovative service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist support for women recalled to assessment and specialist nursing advice and education.
  • Support the delivery of autonomous evidence-based individualized care through holistic needs assessment, planning, and evaluation of care.
  • Act as an expert practitioner demonstrating and utilizing specialist knowledge, skills, and expertise within breast care and across service boundaries as required.
  • Influence the patient care pathway, referring to other professionals and signposting to other agencies as appropriate.
  • Ensure high levels of patient satisfaction, promote patient experience feedback, and ensure patient questionnaires are monitored and any required actions implemented.
