Job Summary

EnerSys Delaware Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our industrial operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and conduct regular health and safety audits.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the department.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Carry out disciplinary actions as necessary, including 2nd stage warnings for timekeeping and discipline-related issues.
  • Succession Planning: Develop and promote succession planning and training for employees within the department.
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments for departmental tasks in conjunction with the team and engineering.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Labor Resource Management: Coordinate labor resources across the department, including holiday cover contingencies.
  • Production Priorities: Liaise with fellow employees to achieve production priorities.
  • Environmental Controls: Ensure all environmental controls and procedures are followed.
  • Process Adherence: Ensure all processes and procedures are adhered to.
  • Contractor Management: Ensure contractors on site operate in accordance with company site rules, have permits to work, and provide method statements and risk assessments.
  • Quality Monitoring: Work with specialized contractors to monitor quality of work and liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive quotes.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Write TPMs and PPMs, implement planned preventative maintenance schedules, and maximize equipment efficiencies.
  • Inventory Management: Identify equipment spares that need to be added to stores stock.
  • Expense Control: Control R+M spend within monthly budget.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Ideally a time-served apprentice with electrical or mechanical bias, multiskilled would be an advantage.
  • Experience: Previous experience of supervising people, good knowledge of IT systems, and experience of working with management teams.
  • Skills: Good understanding of Permit to Work systems and LOTO, good communication skills, and ability to liaise across all areas of manufacturing.
