Job Title: Market Intelligence Manager

Offshore Energies UK is seeking a highly skilled Market Intelligence Manager to lead our market intelligence resource on key areas connected to existing Offshore Energies UK and member energy operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all member data gathering, analysis, reporting, and the production of agreed reports, insights, and technical papers as required across OEUK.
  • Ensure data and information are managed effectively, efficiently, and securely with appropriate access across OEUK.
  • Advise on industry performance and delivery, liaising closely with technical professionals and subject matter experts to address all aspects of the business.
  • Support media queries, providing a measured professional insight.
  • Develop a portfolio of relevant sectoral developer and supply chain data as agreed within OEUK.
  • Commission and undertake fundamental research and actively share insight with membership and key stakeholders, leading internal and external consultancy work as appropriate.
  • Monitor international competitiveness of the UK in energy and related matters.
  • Manage the portfolio of publications on a commercial basis.
  • Develop the professional and analytic skills and potential of the business advisers (both direct reports and wider), coaching and support them as required.
Requirements:
  • Competent energy/petroleum economist/technical professional.
  • Capable of managing skills pool team and promoting their professional development.
  • Ability to think clearly, creatively, and decisively.
  • Strong listening and analytical skills enabling the absorption of complex information quickly to develop a clear understanding.
  • Strong presentational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent people management and coaching skills.
  • Capable communicator with oral and written fluency.
  • Able to present complex information and concepts into a simple, easily understandable form and be able to create and prepare clear communications reports and presentations which maximise the value of analysis, ensuring the rigour of analysis is matched by clarity of presentation.
  • Energy and ability to work within and across teams, to facilitate effective decision-making and issues-management across OEUK.
  • Excellent relationship manager able to influence and collaborate with peers and stakeholders to deliver mutual success.
  • Effective change facilitator who thinks innovatively and acts decisively, adapting positively to challenges.
