Job Summary

Menzies Distribution Limited is seeking a dedicated and reliable Shunter / Pump & Hose Operator to join our dynamic team at our Banbury - Twyford location. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for managing tankers onsite and shunting trailers to and from customer sites on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tanker Management: Safely load and unload tankers, following all site procedures and ensuring compliance with all documentation.
  • Yard Maintenance: Maintain the yard in a clean and tidy condition at all times, conducting regular checks upon request to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Communication: Maintain constant communication with the Traffic Office regarding requirements and any issues.
  • Equipment Operation: Use all equipment safely as specified in operating procedures for vehicle/tanker cleanliness.
  • Collaboration: Assist with washing the back end of tankers, working collaboratively with a colleague.
  • Compliance: Comply with safe working practices at all times, operating your vehicle safely and ensuring actions do not endanger self or other site/road users.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a shunting role preferred.
  • Licence: HGV Class 1 Licence (No more than 6 points).
