Job Title: Site Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team at RTL Group Ltd. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect the quality of work completed on-site and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the site team to implement continuous improvements and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Assist in managing systems to track progress against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity.
  • Record and test workmanship and materials, including drainage, concrete, piling, and brickwork.
  • Provide engineering support to overcome technical problems and answer technical queries.
  • Set out works constructed within allowable tolerances.
  • Regularly check setting out points and benchmarks and ensure all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are calibrated and recorded.
  • Ensure the workforce understands setting out information and identify suitable information for the type of work being carried out.
  • Provide and maintain setting out and dimensional control to ensure accurate construction of the work.
  • Take a proactive approach to managing Health and Safety on site.
  • Coordinate and supervise temporary works as required.
  • Implement a regime of test and inspection plans for all works on site.
Requirements:
  • Education to degree standard in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Technical knowledge of construction and best practices.
  • Valid CSCS/CSR card and full driving license.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering, latest building regulations, legislation, and Health and Safety.
  • Familiarity with RAMS and 3-day look-up.
  • Previous experience in Roads & Bridges, Water, Marine, Renewables, or Horizon.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent attention to detail and planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative and motivate a team.
