We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team at RTL Group Ltd. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect the quality of work completed on-site and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with the site team to implement continuous improvements and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Assist in managing systems to track progress against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity.
- Record and test workmanship and materials, including drainage, concrete, piling, and brickwork.
- Provide engineering support to overcome technical problems and answer technical queries.
- Set out works constructed within allowable tolerances.
- Regularly check setting out points and benchmarks and ensure all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are calibrated and recorded.
- Ensure the workforce understands setting out information and identify suitable information for the type of work being carried out.
- Provide and maintain setting out and dimensional control to ensure accurate construction of the work.
- Take a proactive approach to managing Health and Safety on site.
- Coordinate and supervise temporary works as required.
- Implement a regime of test and inspection plans for all works on site.
- Education to degree standard in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Technical knowledge of construction and best practices.
- Valid CSCS/CSR card and full driving license.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Sound knowledge of engineering, latest building regulations, legislation, and Health and Safety.
- Familiarity with RAMS and 3-day look-up.
- Previous experience in Roads & Bridges, Water, Marine, Renewables, or Horizon.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent attention to detail and planning and organizational skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative and motivate a team.
