Job Description

Due to business growth, we are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering company specializing in marine, subsea, and offshore projects.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing engineering design functions in relation to panel design and general arrangement drawings. You will also be required to produce all associated documents, including FAT, SIT, and SAT procedures, BOMs, design reports, and FMECA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing project documentation, including basis of design, detailed functional design specification, FAT, SIT, and SAT procedures.
  • Creating design concepts and producing detailed design documentation, including electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings, cabinet and panel layout drawings, I/O lists, 3D models, bills of materials, alarms lists, design reports, cause & effect matrices, and FMECA.
  • Liaising with Production, resolving design documentation issues, and creating as-built drawings.
  • Start-up, commissioning, factory acceptance testing, and site commissioning and acceptance testing.
  • Production of final project close-out documentation packages, including drawing updates, O&M manuals, and spare parts lists.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience working within Electrical Design roles with knowledge of Marine/Offshore applications.
  • Experienced in the use of EPLAN/Solidworks.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical control panel design and PLCs/HMIs.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical design principles.
  • Ability to manage own workload and work across multiple projects.
