About the Role

GAP Group LTD is seeking a skilled and motivated Equipment Operator / Yard Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our nationwide Trenching and Shoring division, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hire equipment depot.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop and yard area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored correctly and hazards are minimized.
  • Pressure clean and refuel hire equipment, updating fuel logs accurately, to ensure it is ready for customer use.
  • Load, deliver, and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct hire equipment demonstrations and ensure all relevant checks and administration are completed accurately.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a labourer role, preferably within a hire depot/yard environment.
  • Strong team player with the ability to support colleagues with additional tasks when required.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced depot environment while maintaining a high attention to detail.
  • Full driving license is essential, and a CSCS card and forklift license are preferable.
