Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEMH needs, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans, collaborating with teachers and other professionals to address the unique needs of each student.
- Support students in developing effective communication and social skills, managing challenging behaviours through positive behaviour management strategies.
- Encourage and facilitate engagement in classroom activities and learning, promoting social and emotional well-being.
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
