Key Responsibilities:- Payment Processing: Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payments to partner banks and end clients.
- Internal Transactions: Accurately process internal transactions between virtual and transactional accounts.
- Team Management: Manage the team day-to-day work, ensuring any risks are escalated to the Head of Cash and Head of Payments.
- Error Management: Responsible for minimizing team errors and adhering to SLAs.
- Mentorship: Mentor team members and encourage a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-training.
- Operational Improvements: Drive operational improvements and update procedures for new products.
- Reconciliation: Review reconciliations daily to align platform and client account balances.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and rectify issues, with further root cause analysis to provide feedback on training, process changes, or technical development.
- Quality Control: Check team members' payment entries, interest, and platform-generated entries for accuracy prior to processing.
- Workload Management: Monitor and allocate teams' workload, adapting to changing requirements.
- Reporting: Compile and allocate interest, fees, and other transactions to the Insignis platform and report to the line manager weekly.
- 7+ years of experience in payments and managing a team.
- Processing of payments, Faster Payments, Chaps, Currency Payments.
- Knowledge of interest rates, calculations, and process changes.
- Understanding of MS Excel.
- Good knowledge of the clearing and settlement cycles for UK domestic payment schemes.
- Understanding of PSR/PSD2 rules.
- Changes required for Financial Services firms to comply with APP rules and CoP.
