As a Business Accountant, you will play a critical role in providing management information and business partnering to support our growth ambitions.
About the Role
The Business Accountant will be responsible for providing key management information and business partnering to senior management to support them in winning new contracts and expanding or retaining existing contracts. This will involve leading on the preparation of annual budgets, management accounts, and forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making
- Provide financial analysis and insights to inform business strategy and growth initiatives
- Collaborate with senior management to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Lead on the preparation of annual budgets, management accounts, and forecasts
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, commissioners, and external partners
Requirements
- Hold a CIMA, ACA, or ACCA (Association of Certified Chartered Accountants) (or equivalent) qualification
- Demonstrate significant business partnering experience
- Offer experience in leading annual budget setting processes
- Demonstrate highly proficient Excel skills, including well-structured financial modeling
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to research, analyze, and interpret complex data
- Excellent technical understanding of large-scale IT infrastructure and information systems
- Sound understanding of change management
- Able to convey complex technical detail to non-technical colleagues
- A proven ability to influence senior leaders and commissioners
