Job Description:

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Bristol. As a key member of our Embedded Software team, you will be responsible for the development of Real Time software solutions for our in-house advanced weapon systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and test Real Time software solutions for Missile Units/Subsystems.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components.
  3. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  4. Develop and maintain documentation for software solutions.
  5. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of software development processes.

Requirements:

  1. Strong experience in Embedded C programming and debugging.
  2. Hardware/software integration experience.
  3. Experience working to standards.
  4. Experience with ARM processors.
  5. Basic Linux skills.

Desirable:

  1. Full software life cycle experience (design, development, and test).
  2. Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems (e.g., PikeOS, FreeRTOS).
  3. Knowledge of Lauterbach debug tools.
  4. Experience with ARM Cortex-A series processors.
  5. Knowledge of ARM TrustZone.
  6. Knowledge of IBM Configuration Management tools (RTC/EWM).
  7. Very interested in knowledge of Texas Instruments TD4A family of processors.
  8. Knowledge/Understanding of security software.
