Job Description

Job Title: Senior Marine Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Marine Engineer to join our team as a Technical Superintendent. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our offshore vessels, while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and class requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all shipboard mechanical, electrical, and navigational systems are operated and maintained safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with SOLAS, IMO, Class & Flag administration regulations, and environmental legislation.
  • Review and monitor vessel condition via electronic Engine Room Log sheets.
  • Work closely with the Special Projects/Docking function to ensure timely completion of dry dock specifications and related orders.
  • Maintain and update Planned Maintenance, Purchasing, and Defect Reporting systems both onboard and in-office.
  • Manage vessel port calls, ensuring timely completion of all scheduled work and comprehensive reporting.
  • Monitor and engage with senior ship officers to address and resolve any performance issues.

Requirements:

  • Sea Going Chief Engineer, or equivalent, with relevant offshore support experience.
  • Experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in marine engineering, naval architecture, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in offshore vessel management, with a strong understanding of maritime legislation, SOLAS, IMO, Class & Flag regulations.
