Culinary Service Associate - Universities Careers

We are seeking a Culinary Service Associate who will represent our organization, providing outstanding customer care across various university campuses.

As a vital part of Chartwells, you will deliver exceptional service to students, faculty, and guests.

You will be part of a dedicated team that takes pride in their work - pride in our cuisine, pride in our reputation, and most importantly, pride in our personnel.

This position is structured for 40 hours per week, spanning 5 days out of 7.

Given the dynamic nature of this role, there is no fixed schedule, so hours and shifts will vary based on operational needs.

As a Culinary Service Associate, you will contribute to a vibrant and welcoming team in a fast-paced setting.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering all food and beverages to the highest standards in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages as per client specifications.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and readiness of service counters.
  • Clearing all areas of equipment and hospitality items at the end of service.
  • Adhering to proper labeling, food safety, and allergen protocols.
  • Collaborating closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Operating the service vehicle between various campuses.
  • Addressing customer feedback and resolving minor issues with professionalism, escalating to supervisors when necessary.
  • Reporting health and safety concerns to your supervisor, including any incidents or near misses.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A valid UK driving license.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to company insurance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a catering or hospitality setting.
