Job Summary:

RSK Group is seeking a highly skilled Near Surface Geophysicist to join our team in Southampton. As a key member of our Geosciences team, you will be responsible for providing geophysical consultancy and design services to a range of external clients.

About the Role:

  • Work collaboratively with our experienced team to deliver site investigation projects using various geophysical techniques.
  • Conduct data processing, interpretation, and report production to meet client requirements.
  • Mentor and line manage junior team members to ensure their professional development.
  • Manage ongoing projects and liaise with clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Prepare proposals and tenders to secure new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience as a Near Surface Geophysicist.
  • Proficiency in using GPR, ERT, Seismic Refraction, MASW, Microgravity, Magnetics, and Electromagnetic instrumentation.
  • Experience in processing data for the above techniques.
  • Competency in using High Precision GPS, Total Stations, and 2D AutoCAD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel, CAD, and programming.
  • UK driving license and willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
