Vickerstock is partnering with a leading manufacturing firm to appoint an SHEQ Officer. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, quality, and compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and Resolve Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, implementing corrective actions and updating documentation to prevent future occurrences.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the organization's compliance with new health and safety legislation, lead risk assessments, and maintain and update ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
- Occupational Health and Safety: Conduct occupational health surveys, ensure all employees receive required EHS training, and participate in monthly Health and Safety conference calls and meetings.
- Quality Assurance and Control: Oversee material testing, product inspections, and ensure product quality, investigate and resolve customer complaints, non-conformance issues, and scrappage.
- Environmental Sustainability: Arrange hazardous waste disposal, conduct daily environmental checks, and lead energy efficiency and renewable energy projects on site.
- Experience and Qualifications: Previous experience in a Health and Safety role, relevant NEBOSH qualification, and experience with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational skills, good communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation skills, and excellent IT skills (MS Office).
- Desirable: Previous experience within the manufacturing industry, internal auditor certifications, and management experience.
