Job Summary:

Kaminsky Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our team in a market-leading Engineering and Manufacturing business. As a Production Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining production processes and procedures across Fabrication and/or assembly operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Development: Develop and maintain production processes and procedures across Fabrication and/or assembly operations.
  • Process Improvement: Lead and implement process improvement activities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • New Product Introduction: Support new product introduction, ensuring effective collaboration between Engineering & Production.
  • Production Data Analysis: Gather relevant production data throughout the New Product Development process.
  • Production Process Documentation: Maintain production process documentation.
  • Tool and Equipment Design: Design and/or implement tools and equipment to improve the production process.
  • Production Flow Line Design: Design and implement production flow lines, factory floor plans, and modular workstations.
  • Design for Manufacture: Contribute to the Design for Manufacture process.
  • Quality and Producibility: Identify areas for producibility and quality improvements in assembly, test, and product design.

Requirements:

  • Education: HNC, HND, or Degree in mechanical engineering or similar with experience in a bespoke fabrication & assembly environment.
  • Skills: Ability to generate clear production assembly work instructions, experience of developing production flow lines, experience and knowledge of industrial engineering or project engineering, general knowledge in areas of root cause corrective action, lean, and project planning, experience in Mechanical CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Creo, or similar packages.

  • Competitive Salary: £45,000 per annum, potentially negotiable, PLUS Annual company bonus.
