Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Welding & NDT Inspector to join our team within the Nuclear Sector.

Role Responsibilities:

The Welding / NDT Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of welding and fabrication processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting inspections of welds to assess strength and quality.
  • Verifying the proper use of equipment and adherence to specifications.
  • Performing random inspections at subcontractor locations to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Inspecting incoming materials to confirm they meet quality criteria.
  • Maintaining high workmanship standards throughout all phases of the contract.
  • Documenting findings and generating reports on inspections and supplier evaluations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • CSWIP 3.1 certification as a minimum requirement.
  • Advanced knowledge of contemporary welding practices.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a keen eye for detail.
  • PCN Level 2 certification in NDT disciplines, specifically Penetrant Testing (PT) and Radiographic Testing (RT) is preferred.

Contract Details:
This is a full-time PAYE contract role with the potential for permanent placement. Competitive pay rates are offered, and the working schedule is Monday to Friday.
