Job Title: Academy Site Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academy Site Manager to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing site-based projects, ensuring they are executed correctly, on time, safely, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and oversee project delivery, ensuring client specifications and requirements are met, regularly reviewing progress, and liaising with the Pre-Contracts and Project Finance teams regarding change orders and site costs.
  2. Update project plans and communicate to all relevant parties.
  3. Liaise with clients, other construction professionals, and stakeholders as required.
  4. Coordinate and supervise construction workers on-site.
  5. Manage and oversee the project on a daily basis.
  6. Liaise with internal departments regarding project matters.
  7. Regularly update the Line Manager with project progress and issues, implementing competent solutions to resolve them.
  8. Manage site inductions and oversee health and safety, management, and maintenance of project folders.
  9. Manage all subcontractors and trades on-site at all times.
  10. Ensure live sites are set up correctly and meet brand guidelines.
  11. Arrange internal and external team meetings, client meetings, and subcontractor meetings, including producing agendas.
  12. Book subcontractors onto projects to meet the programme.
  13. Manage programme design and management.
  14. Instruct subcontractors and suppliers and issue small orders.
  15. Broad property, building, or construction background.
  16. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  17. Ability to read construction drawings.
  18. Experience in managing office relocations, refurbishments, and fit-outs, including IT infrastructure.
  19. Good understanding of health and safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  20. Knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  21. Confidence to meet with clients, subcontractors, and building managers.
  22. Good commercial acumen – legal knowledge and negotiating with multiple vendors.
  23. Asbestos Awareness.
  24. Flexible approach to travelling and staying away from home on a regular basis.
  25. Flexible approach to opening up and closing up sites.
  26. Full clean driving licence.
  27. NEBOSH Construction.

Requirements:

  • Broad property, building, or construction background.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to read construction drawings.
  • Experience in managing office relocations, refurbishments, and fit-outs, including IT infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of health and safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Confidence to meet with clients, subcontractors, and building managers.
  • Good commercial acumen – legal knowledge and negotiating with multiple vendors.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: £50-60k on an employed basis, with an employment package including 28 days paid holiday per annum, or £260 per day on a self-employed basis.
  • Managing multiple sites, requiring regular local travel with a travel allowance provided.
