M&E Quantity Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Spencer & James Limited. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) projects and a proven track record of managing costs and ensuring projects stay within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and monitor budgets for M&E projects
  • Manage variations and conduct value engineering
  • Tender, negotiate, and award M&E packages
  • Administer contracts and manage interim payments
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Provide cost reports and financial updates to management
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field; professional membership (RICS/CIOB) preferred
  • Strong M&E background and proven experience on large-scale projects
  • Excellent commercial acumen, contract negotiation, and proficiency in cost management software
