Electrical Engineering Project Lead

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Project Lead to join our team at AVENTA. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to technical standards.
  • Supervise the activities of design teams to complete projects to required technical standards and project schedules.
  • Undertake short-term visits to operating sites and regional offices worldwide to ensure project progress and quality.
  • Prepare man-hour estimates and planning activities for proposals and projects as required.
  • Evaluate the effect of new/modified legislation on plant design and performance.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in technical and team leadership within a project environment, preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Technical competence in all aspects of electrical engineering, including power generation, distribution, and transmission.
  • Experience in concept, basic/FEED, and detail engineering projects for Oil&Gas, on-shore and/or off-shore.
  • Familiarity with IEC standards and other international electrical standards, best practices, and value practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) and design of Floating Units.
  • Certification for working offshore and working knowledge of Italian language.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

AVENTA operates a SmartWorking policy, allowing personnel to work from home or a secure location for up to 12 working days/month. This role is a permanent position, and the ideal candidate will be based in the Client Office in Hampshire, UK, with opportunities to work on DEEP WATER O&G Floating unit projects.
