Your New RoleAs a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including producing monthly Profit and Loss reports, preparing monthly budgets and management reports, and managing VAT returns. You will also be the main point of contact for customer inquiries within the accounts department and handle payroll.
Key Responsibilities- Produce monthly Profit and Loss reports to track the financial performance of the business.
- Prepare monthly budgets and management reports to inform business decisions.
- Oversee full credit control, from issuing invoices to payment reconciliation.
- Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries within the accounts department.
- Handle payroll and manage employee benefits.
- Manage VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Track the financial performance of individual projects for invoicing and Profit and Loss analysis.
- Conduct cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning to ensure the business remains financially stable.
- Implement new ideas and processes for continuous improvement.
- Support the development of internal systems and processes.
- Partner with Project Managers and Directors to provide financial analysis, reports, and strategic advice.
- Manage Management Information (MI) and dashboards to inform business decisions.
- Hold a relevant accounting qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with Lean principles is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience with Xero and Simpro (CRM) is preferred but not required.
